Why Do Men and Women Cheat?

Often wonder why are there so many deadbeat fathers around? How did my daughter get pregnant? Why do so many powerful men use their wealth to enrich their wives, children, and cheat some more? Why do women in a stable and happy marriage have the last born that doesn’t even resemble their father? Why are men polygamous in nature? These are important questions to ask because they will lead us to answer why men and women cheat.

Understanding Our Nature

Like the male animal species, men are wired to mate and continue their generation. Male dominance began many, many years ago when they would work hard to own land and livestock. The end game was to pay higher bride prices, provide well and disseminate stronger genes.

Men by nature were to be competitive and aggressive. They give priority to power, competence, and achievement. Women adore attractive, dominant, sexy, healthy, hard, and tough men.

Women, on the other side, cherish love, communication, and relationships. Men are looking for the opportunity to sire children against their counterparts. This is a big football match where everyone needs to score.

They say more the children the merrier the home. Children are evidence of genes and behaviors that will spread to the future. Cheating is the opportunity for a man to beget more children away from his one partner.

Preferences or Mere Coincidence

As individuals, our tastes and preferences are each unique. But there are a few constants in our dynamics when it comes to our future posterity.

For example, did you know that men prefer a mate who is young, beautiful, and healthy? Why do you think this is? Youth is a measure of fertility. Ancient kings and leaders in Biblical times would marry a young virgin(s).

Women prefer masculine-looking men. These will produce stronger and healthier children who can fight off diseases.

Women think in the long term. They ask themselves difficult questions. Which suitor would best meet my needs of food, shelter, protection, and rearing my children?

You guessed right the man with a high social status because he would be liquid. He would also be very intelligent to earn so well. Money is the aphrodisiac to turn on our modern women.

Don’t women seem obsessed with face surgeries, boob jobs, butt enhancement and so much more? Women can do everything to look attractive and young to get the perfect genes for their children.

The market place for finding the right man is competitive. Women have to use all their tools at their disposal because women love men whom other women find hot.

Enabling Factors for Cheating

As human beings, we are a byproduct of our genes. We live our lives in the fast lane. Our decisions depend on our moods, feelings, and chemicals.

Men and women cheat by responding to pheromones and hormones. For example, women seek an affair close to ovulation than at any other time.

Men’s armpits produce odorless chemicals (pheromones) that signal arousal and sexual receptivity. Women prefer the smell of men’s armpits when ovulating the rest of the month.

At times you may fail to understand why a partner in an abusive relationship keeps coming back to the same man? Why a partner who keeps cheating on a daily basis is always received back with open arms?

The secret force is “Oxytocin”. Oxytocin unites men and women in their relationship. It’s the glue that holds the seams together. This chemical helps to create trust in the relationship. It is an active element during sex, labor, and breastfeeding.

“Because cheating isn’t really about morals. Or promises. Cheating’s actually a risk management issue. There are high-risk behaviors. Like heavy drinking, and lots of single friends. And behaviors that protect marriages. (Chris Hart, Daily Nation, We’re all a glance away from an affair, December 9, 2017)

Examples of Infidelity

Infidelity in Kenya is a big cash cow for hotels, bars, restaurant owners, and taxi drivers. Infidelity is the fastest growing business in town.

Statistics from Paternity testing centers confirms that Kenyan men are living a lie. DNA Testing Services has confirmed that 30 percent are not biological fathers.

The president of the U.S, Donald Trump, is always in the news for accusations related to his sexual escapades. He is notorious for paying off his accusers due to his vast amount of acquired wealth.

He is an example of how some women look up to men whom other men regard as leaders. He attributes his grip on women due to his money, power, and fame.

Have you observed how some female colleagues respond to senior male bosses? It’s as if lightning has struck and every female wants the piece of his attention. Next time you’re in the room look at the smiles, gestures, innuendos, and conversations. It leads towards a subtle end — a surprise promotion.

Infidelity is becoming rampant in our modern-day society for varying reasons. Let us stop pointing fingers and take the time to understand the underlying reasons. Infidelity is a large iceberg with the tip of the problem only visible while the major problem is hidden. I hope this article will help us to uncover the iceberg for those single, searching, dating, and married.
